**Position Information**
TxDOT's Tyler District is seeking a Director of Transportation Operations.
This challenging and rewarding role oversees daily traffic operations and requires ongoing, effective collaboration with key external and internal stakeholders. The selected candidate will provide strategic direction to district staff across relevant program areas. Responsibilities include managing engineering, construction, and operations for traffic signals, ITS assets and the district's traffic safety program.
Salary Grade/Range: (B31\): $123,252\- $208,449/yearly

**Position Description**
Oversees the Transportation Operations function for a district's highways and facilities in accordance with Department standards. Reporting directly to the District Engineer, manages a group of professional, technical and administrative employees and may oversee district wide construction contract work concerning transportation operations. Work requires contact with governmental officials and private entities. Employees at this level are virtually self\-supervising and assume direct accountability for the work product.
