**Key Responsibilities**
* Coordinate and dispatch auto transport drivers to meet daily pickup and delivery schedules
* Plan efficient routes to maximize load capacity and minimize empty miles
* Monitor shipments in real time and proactively address delays or issues
* Communicate with drivers regarding assignments, updates, and performance expectations
* Maintain consistent communication with customers, brokers, railheads, and port facilities
* Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, hours\-of\-service (HOS), and company policies
* Track and update shipment status in transportation management systems (TMS)
* Resolve service issues, including damages, delays, or delivery discrepancies
* Optimize fleet utilization and support capacity planning
* Maintain accurate records of dispatch activity, driver logs, and delivery documentation
* Collaborate with yard operations and load planners to ensure efficient vehicle flow
**Required Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
* 2\+ years of dispatching experience, preferably in auto transport or trucking/logistics
* Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hours\-of\-service requirements
* Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and dispatch software
* Ability to multitask and make quick decisions in a fast\-paced environment
* Strong communication and problem\-solving skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience in vehicle logistics, car hauling, or port/rail operations
* Familiarity with load boards and freight brokerage platforms
* Knowledge of geographic regions, routes, and transit times across key markets
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
