**Job Summary**

The Division Engineer is responsible for the coordination of track maintenance, repair, and capital projects within the railroad maintenance of way departments. The Division Engineer collaborates with the General Managers to manage the track infrastructure to achieve performance goals with optimum safety, economy, efficiency, and effectiveness ensuring profitability for railroads within their area of responsibility. The Division Engineer has responsibility of helping to control expenses and assets within the department and will be accountable to ensure all company policies and procedures are being followed by Team Members in their charge, and all are administered fairly and equitably.This Division Engineer description is general and illustrative of the type of duties required for this position. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

* Drive continuous improvement in safety performance year over year
* Ensure a safe working environment for all team members through leadership and compliance monitoring
* Schedule and verify the training required for all track team members
* Enforce company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements
* Monitor and reduce incidents, slow orders, derailments, and safety violations
* Oversee all aspects of track project management, including labor, materials, scheduling, and equipment utilization
* Develop and monitor project plans, budgets, and cost estimates to ensure completion within scope and timeline
* Support profit centers in achieving financial performance goals, including 10% minimum revenue growth
* Reduce assets year\-over\-year, including accounts receivable, inventory, and work in progress
* Decrease track\-related costs as a percentage of revenue to improve profitability
* Provide coaching, mentoring, and assist with performance evaluations for Roadmasters and support personnel as needed
* Ensure compliance with track safety standards, inspection protocols, and reporting requirements
