Job Description
**Position Summary**
Patriot Logistics is seeking a Driver Manager to support our growing intermodal and operation in the Atlanta, GA market. This position is responsible for managing daily driver activity, coordinating freight movement, maintaining customer service standards, and supporting terminal operations.
This role is designed as a developmental leadership position with a defined growth path into Operations Manager and Terminal Manager responsibilities. The ideal candidate is organized, driven, customer\-focused, and interested in building a long\-term career in transportation and logistics management.
**Primary Responsibilities**
**Driver Management**
\- Serve as one of the points of contact for owner operators and company drivers.
\- Coordinate daily dispatch activities and ensure efficient equipment utilization.
\- Monitor driver productivity, service levels, and operational performance.
\- Assist drivers with operational issues, customer concerns, and service recovery.
\- Build positive working relationships with drivers while maintaining accountability.
\- Assist with TMS data entry and customer portal updates.
**Operations Support**
\- Assist in planning and executing daily freight movement.
\- Monitor pickups, deliveries, rail moves, port activity, and customer appointments.
\- Track service failures and work proactively to resolve issues.
\- Coordinate with customers, drivers, rail providers, steamship lines, and vendors.
\- Support yard management and equipment control efforts.
**Customer Service**
\- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, scheduling, and service updates via email, phone and customer dashboards.
\- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
\- Support customer retention and business development efforts.
\- Assist with pricing requests and operational solutions.
**Safety \& Compliance**
\- Support driver qualification and compliance processes.
\- Ensure drivers maintain required credentials and safety documentation.
\- Promote a culture of safety throughout the operation.
\- Assist with accident reporting, investigations, and corrective action plans.
**Administrative Duties**
\- Review operational reports and maintain accurate records.
\- Assist with payroll, settlements, billing support, and reporting functions.
\- Maintain operational data within company systems.
\- Participate in training and development programs designed to prepare for future leadership responsibilities.
**Additional Duties**
\- Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support terminal and company objectives.
**Qualifications**
**Preferred Experience**
\- 3\-5 years of transportation, logistics, dispatch, customer service, or operations experience.
\- Intermodal, OTR Trucking, freight brokerage, warehouse, or supply chain experience preferred.
\- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is a plus.
