team serves as a primary contact for all BNSF customers, working to make the shipping experience as easy and seamless as possible. From onboarding new customers to handling rate and service requests to answering billing questions, the Marketing team is focused on building strong customer relationships and ensuring effective communication throughout the shipping process. The team is organized into several critical business units to cater to diverse customer needs and industry demands: Agriculture and Energy, Consumer Products, and Industrial products, alongside specialized units for Customer Support, Forecasting, and Planning. Each of these units plays a role in tailoring our marketing strategies and services to meet the unique requirements of our wide-ranging customer base, ensuring a comprehensive and responsive approach to customer service and engagement.

The team is organized into several critical business units to cater to diverse customer needs and industry demands. Working in BNSF’s Agriculture & Energy unit based in Fort Worth, you will interact with all areas of BNSF as we work together to move the business forward.

Each of these units plays a role in tailoring our marketing strategies and services to meet the unique requirements of our wide-ranging customer base, ensuring a comprehensive and responsive approach to customer service and engagement. This role as the market manager for southern wheat and wheat flour develops market and customer strategies which helps grow our position in this segment. It will work with various customers and groups across the value and supply chain, from growers, to commercial traders, to exporters and flour millers, to name a few. Key metrics are volume relative to market opportunity, revenue growth and maximization, business lead development and opportunities closed, and working across departments to identify efficiency opportunities. Helpful skills will be an understanding of grain markets and grain trading, preferably with southern wheat, strong communication skills, analytical abilities, results oriented, decisiveness. Â
This is a full-time
 position

Key responsibilities may include:

Develop and implementÂ
marketing strategies using current market information, competitive and economic conditions, and innovative programs.
CreateÂ
account plans and pricing strategies, develop total transportation packages including equipment, service, and value-added services.
Respond
 to internal and external customer inquiries and solve problems as they arise.
Organization
to juggle multiple tasks or projects with varying completion timelines – short term or immediate and long term.
Interact
 with customers to execute integrated account plans.
Optimize
 asset utilization in relation to the commodity/account plans and market strategies.
Prospect
 for and develop new business opportunities.
Determine
 fundamental customer service and business requirements and match to BNSF’s capabilities/limitations.
Responsible
 for the sales and marketing aspects of certain southern wheat and wheat flour within the Ag Marketing group.
Ensure
 quality service through coordination with various BNSF departments.
ServeÂ
as an internal expert over assigned markets and be able to clearly articulate expectations of future market changes through mediums like forecasts and presentations.
Manage
 markets to maximize market potential, including market share, revenue, and contribution.
Daily work
is conducted in an indoor office environment.
