Structures Superintendent

Overview: Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a **Structures Superintendent** in **Springfield, VA** to join our team. **Duties and Responsibilities:*** This is a non\-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position. * Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, etc. * Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day\-to\-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.). * Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors and subcontractors as required by the contract. * May authorize and/or approve all project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions, field design change requests, etc. * Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. * Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc. * Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, environmental compliance, etc. Document all violations, notify project management, recommend/implement corrective actions as required. * Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials \& equipment, and contractual performance of the project. * Perform additional assignments per Supervisor’s direction. * Manage equipment utilization. * Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position. * Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position. * Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:*** High school diploma or equivalent. * Construction Management/Civil Engineering degree preferred, but not required. * Minimum 8 years in structure construction management and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction. * Demonstrated experience with deep foundation work including but not limited to shaft drilling, pile driving and micro piles. * Experience with different form systems of design and erection and knowledgeable on mass concrete placement. * Thorough knowledge of all aspects of structure construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, cost control schedules and safety required. * Specific knowledge of Bid\-Well Transverse Screed. * Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential. * Ability to utilize Microsoft Office. **Pre\-Employment Requirements:*** Subject to pre\-employment background check and motor vehicle report review. * Maintain a valid driver’s license and endorsements as required per position. * Subject to pre\-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to t...
