Overview:
Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking an experienced track **Superintendent** in **San Pedro, CA** to join our team.
The pay range for this position is $175,000\.00 \- $238,000\.00 annually. The pay range for this position is for the project assignment at Port of Los Angeles Berths 302\-305\. **Duties and Responsibilities:*** This is a non\-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
* Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, other contractors, etc.
* Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day\-to\-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.).
* Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors and subcontractors as required by the contract.
* May authorize and/or approve all project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions, field design change requests, etc.
* Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
* Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
* Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, environmental compliance, etc. Document all violations, notify project management, recommend/implement corrective actions as required.
* Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials \& equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
* Perform additional assignments per Supervisor’s direction.
* Manage equipment utilization.
* Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
* Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
* Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:*** High school diploma or equivalent
* Construction Management/Civil Engineering degree preferred, but not required.
* Minimum 8 years in structure construction management and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction.
* Thorough knowledge of all aspects of structure construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, cost control schedules and safety required.
* Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential
* Ability to utilize Microsoft Office.
