The Talent Acquisition Advisor is responsible for candidate engagement throughout the hiring lifecycle including job posting management, sourcing, conducting and scheduling interviews, extending offers and completing necessary paperwork and processes to onboard new hires while proactively working to ensure CN builds a diverse workforce. Main Responsibilities 路 Responsible for the full life-cycle recruitment for requisitions across North America including job postings, sourcing and resume review, pre-screening, interviews, and pipeline tracking 路 Develop a deep understanding of CN鈥檚 talent needs across different teams and groups 路 Build and maintain collaborative relationships with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs while providing expertise on market trends and providing hiring recommendations 路 Continuously work towards building and maintaining strong talent pipelines for multiple, complex searches by leveraging numerous platforms 路 Directly source candidates through database mining, direct sourcing, vendor partnerships and referrals 路 Conduct initial conversations with potential candidates to evaluate qualifications, providing feedback and recommendations on next steps 路 Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment process 路 Manage job offer process including offer extensions and negotiation 路 Collaborate and share knowledge and best practices with the Talent Acquisition and HR teams 路 Ensure data integrity and accuracy through CN鈥檚 internal ATS system 路 Act as an ambassador within the Talent Acquisition team 路 Ensure that recruiting and hiring practices are in compliance with corporate policies and governmental regulations Working Conditions The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure and manage stress. Requirements Experience Recruitment 路 Minimum 2 years of recruiting experience in transportation or a trades-based environment experience (high volume) Education/Certification/Designation 路 Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Human Resources (HR) or equivalent an asset Competencies 路 Collaborates with key internal stakeholders to enable higher productivity 路 Leverages feedback and coaching to improve performance 路 Inspires others with impactful communications and adapts to the audience 路 Project and time management 路 Shares timely information within and across functions to get things done effectively 路 Applies analytical thinking to make recommendations that result in sustainable outcomes Technical Skills/Knowledge 路 Experience with ATS and/or Recruitment Software 路 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 路 Proven track record of success in talent acquisition with strong recruitment skills 路 Ability to multi-task and adapt to a rapidly changing environment 路 Strong interviewing, negotiation, and closing skills 路 Resourceful with strong analytical skills 路 Fluently bilingual both written and verbal in English French.
