Transportation Dispatcher – Evening Shift

McRae's U.S. Mail Service is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher to join our operations team. This position is responsible for supporting drivers, coordinating route coverage, communicating with employees throughout the shift, and helping ensure transportation operations run smoothly.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and able to make decisions in a fast\-paced environment. Transportation experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Transportation is a 24/7 operation. This position primarily works evening hours and requires occasional weekend and holiday coverage.
Pay \& Schedule
* $24\.00 \- $29\.00 per hour, based on experience
* Full\-time position
* Typical schedule: 4:00 PM \- 2:00 AM
* Some weekend and holiday work required
* Training provided
Responsibilities
* Coordinate daily transportation operations
* Dispatch drivers and assist with route coverage
* Communicate with drivers throughout the shift
* Resolve operational issues and service disruptions
* Assist with weekly driver scheduling
* Monitor route activity and document operational information
* Work closely with management and fellow dispatchers to support daily operations
* Help maintain safe, reliable, and on\-time service
Qualifications
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities
* Excellent attendance and reliability
* Strong computer and typing skills
* Experience using Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and spreadsheets
* Ability to learn new software systems
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
* Positive attitude and strong problem\-solving skills
* Ability to pass a USPS background check
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in transportation, logistics, dispatching, customer service, or another fast\-paced work environment
* Experience working with drivers, scheduling, or operations
* Knowledge of transportation operations is a plus
