This position offers the chance to work in a fast\-paced, dynamic environment that’s constantly evolving. **Main responsibilities:** Supervises daily Transportation activities and personnel to ensure functions are performed within Company and Distribution Center guidelines. Provides excellent customer service to stores through, timely and safe order deliveries. Provides team leadership and functional expertise. * Provides daily work direction to frontline associates. * Assigns drivers to loads ensuring compliance with Company and DOT guidelines. * Uses technical systems for reporting and analytics. * Leads daily performance meetings. * Conducts performance, coaching, provides individual feedback and issues corrective action. * Makes daily decisions impacting the business (including but not limited to routing, scheduling, labor management, retail service, and cost). * Handles all team performance and personnel issues. * Ensures accuracy of time \& attendance, including payroll. * Investigates accidents \& injury incidents. * Completes root cause analysis for Safety, Service and Cost KPI misses. * Helps develop subordinates for next level. * Performs duties according to regulations and policy (can include collective bargaining agreement) * Ensures all drivers comply with Company, Federal and Local laws, and regulations. * Must be flexible to work different schedules and shifts. * Performs other management duties as requested, including special projects **We are looking for candidates who possess the following:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; or * Has significant traffic management to include truck and rail deliveries. To include a strong working knowledge of government regulations pertaining to transportation. * Prefer experience in the following applications but will train right person. (Prospero, XRS (ZATA/Omnitracs), Lytx, One Network) * Possesses strong supervisory skills with a minimum of 2\-4 years’ experience as Manager/Supervisor/Lead Position, and with demonstrated levels of achievement **Characteristics:** * Possesses superior analytical abilities, including strong critical thinking and problem\-solving abilities. * Demonstrates a sense of urgency in performing all duties. * Adaptable and collaborative in working with others. * Organized, with good attention to detail, and demonstrated time management and implementation skills. * A team builder, who is approachable to others with strong listening, verbal an...
